Snow White & Rose red is one of my favourite stories.
My favourite newer fairy tale is A Little Princess.
A more recent version from 1995 which I love:
And of course, the Shirley Temple version.
There are full versions on youtube, but I think it's better to watch on a bigger screen.
I love Shirley Temple so much. She's such a doll.
Pinch cheek :)
What a cute pattern and colour scheme! It's no secret that I'm rather obsessed with fairy tales... thanks for sharing x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Nancy :)
ReplyDeleteI love snow white and rose red too! I love your print. It would look so good on fabric!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favourite stories as well. Here (Norway) they used to show a mini-series based upon this novel during Christmas. It was produced by LWT (London Weekend Television) and recived the BAFTA award in 1987.
ReplyDeleteYes, it would be perfect as a print on fabric!
the song in the 1995 version during the end credits makes me cry, and that scene of the two girls in India!
ReplyDeleteI always love your prints, and i agree with Christy, it would make a great fabric pattern
A Little Princess was one of my all time fave books..I read my copy so often, it disintegrated eventually. And Snow White, Rose Red...trumped the regular Snow White any day. Very cute print. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your take on snow white and rose red. My best friends mom used to call us snow white and rose red, because we were always together. It's my favorite fairy tale, hence the name of my etsy shop.
ReplyDeleteisn't it a strange but pretty story?
ReplyDeletewhen i was a kid i was freaked out by how cruel and abusive the dwarf was to the bear.
Very cool ! I am loving this all!

ReplyDeleteHoly moly, I'm in shock. When I was 5 years old I took ballet/tap and the one recital I had we did a number to "When I Grow Up". I didn't know it was a real song! That song played such a defining moment in my life.
